Tactical Weapons Meet 1967
In 1967 the large NATO excercise “Tactical Weapons Meet” took place at RAFG base Wildenrath, not far from the Dutch border. This meet was an excercise between teams of the Second Allied Tactical Air Force (2ATAF) and 4 ATAF. 2ATAF had teams from the Royal Netherlands Air Force, the Belgian Air Force, RAF Germany and the northern part of West Germany. 4ATAF consisted of teams of the southern part of West Germany, the Canadian Armed Forces and USAFE. In many years the French Air Force paticipated with a guest team. This time participating were:
- the KLu with F-84F
- the BAF with F-84F and for the first time with some F-104G
- RAF Germany with Canberra
- West Germany north with F-104G of JABOG-31
- West Germany south with F-104G of JABOG-33
- West Germany south with G-91R of LeKG-44
- USAFE with F-4D
- CAF with CF-104
- French Air Force with Mirage IIIE
